Hello everyone,
My name is Alexandra and I am a second year business
management student at Glasgow Caledonian University. You might all be wondering
why I am writing this blog about an internship in Boston? Well, the third year
of my degree consists of a yearlong placement, and through this blog I want to
share my experience with you.
Through the first semester of second year I worked to
improve my resumé and cover letter to get every chance on my side. After
looking at the different possibilities that were suggested to me, I became convinced
that the placement in Boston was the one that I felt most suited me.
So here I was looking at job descriptions for internships at
Northeastern University and creating a CV YouTube video to apply for the internships on offer.
Then came the time of the Skype interview which, though it
was scary in a way, was actually one of the best experience I could have asked
for, as I wasn’t sure of what I should expect. Then the email telling me the
outcome arrived, and I could not have been more overwhelmed. I was the happiest
I have been in a long time.
I am now in the preparation stage of this new adventure in Massachusetts.
